3 Years and Counting!

3 years ago today, Robbie and I walked down the aisle and said our vows. 3 years ago we made a commitment to each other, for better or worse, in sickness and in health for as long as we both shall live. In a way, it seems like forever ago. But at the same time, it seems like just yesterday! 3 years ago, our lives were incomplete. Today, our lives are filled with more joy and happiness than either of us ever imagined!This is the little angel that makes our lives complete!

I don't know what the deal is, but somehow, my play list for my blog is NOT what I made it. I did not choose these songs. I am in the process of fixing it, I have no idea what songs are on this impostor play list so I apologize if any are offensive!

Really overdue update!!!

Well, its been a really long time since my last post. I know...and Im sorry. There has been a lot going on around here, and yes that is always my excuse!! But its true! This weekend alone, Robbie's dad Stanley and Step-mom Lisa and brother Mason stayed with us.Mawmaw came too, but she stayed with Uncle Donnie and Aunt Susan. They got here Friday and stayed that night, Saturday was Lisa's daughter Kristen's baby shower in Monroe. (Sarah, she had a fit over what you made...as did everyone at the shower...I told so many people who you are and what you do that it wasn't funny!) Sunday, Robbie's neice and nephew came over to wait on Stanley and Lisa to get back from Monroe to take them back home to Jonesboro! I love it when family comes to visit, but sometimes all that visiting can wear you out! Abigail really enjoyed seeing all of them, especially when pawpaw kept giving her money to put in her bank!! She really racked up in the money department! We had a great weekend though!!! Now let me tell you about my little angel!!! She is growing in leaps and bounds. She learns something new everyday and constantly amazes me with the things that she says and does! I have the most polite toddler on the face of the earth, everything is "please" and "thank you" and "your welcome". She even says "Excuse me" after she burps(and for everyone else for that matter!) She is now falling to sleep completly on her own, and without a binky!!!! I thought that the binky was going to be a real problem, but she just decided she didnt need it anymore, and made my job of taking it away that much easier!! (I love this kid!) I look at her and watch her grow and blossom before my eyes, and it almost breaks my heart that she is growing so fast. I wish that I could catch the time in a bottle and save it for always. Robbie sometimes asks me "What on earth did we do to deserve her?" I tell him, "I honestly dont know" But maybe its not what we've done in the past. I think that God chose her for us because He knew the effect that she would have on our lives, and on every life that she touches. She is absolutly perfect for us. She brings more joy to our world than we have ever known. Everything that we do, in some way, centers around her. But, thats the way its supposed to be, isnt it!! Overdue update on my Punk-A-Doodle!!

It has been a while since I have bragged on my beautiful little girls amazing talents!!! She has developed so much over the last few months! As of today she is 20 months old, only 4 more months to go until we hit the terrible 2's!! She is the easiest baby in the world to get to sleep, all we do now is say our prayers, say nite-nite, kiss and a hug and lay her down and off to dreamland she goes!!! She sleeps all night long, but has been doing that since she was 6 weeks old (I know...I'm blessed!!) She sleeps until about 9:00 sometimes 10:00 a.m. and goes to bed at 8:30 p.m. She is down to one nap a day, usually around 1:00 and lasts several hours, just enough time for mama to get her housework done!! She has a LARGE vocabulary!! She will repeat anything and I do mean ANYTHING you say!! We have to watch our words! But more than just being a parrot, she learns the word being said!! She has started pairing 2 and 3 words together, and that is becoming a common occurrence. She can hold an entire "phone" conversation. If she wants to talk to someone, she tells me, I give her my old cell phone (so that she cant call china!!) she opens it, presses some buttons and her conversation goes something like this " Hello, hey (insert name here... usually daddy, khaki, dullie, holly, Gracie or aunt e)(today it was Joe!) she jabbers a little bit, then says OK bye-bye!! and hangs up!! Her imagination has no limits!!! I'm not even going to try to list all of the words and phrases she knows, it would take too long!!! She probably knows somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 words or so and can pair any of them together at any given time! Something new today was "Mama, Quit!!" while I was tickling her toes!! She does still baby jabber a lot and rarely does she perform on command (what child does what you want them to do when you want them to do it?) but we have such a blast at home playing and learning. She repeated the entire alphabet to me in the bathtub the other night!! Speaking of baths...she loves them! When I get her out, she wants to get right back in!! She loves to brush her teeth, loves lotion and powder, loves to put mouse in her hair and if she sits still while mama puts her make-up on, she gets a little!!! She can be such a girly-girl and then turn around and want to play in the mud and ride 4-wheelers!! I just love my punk-a-doodle soo much!! But I'm her mama, and mama's tend to do that don't they? Oh, and if your wondering where Punk-A-Doodle came from, it is what I have called Abigail since the day she was born, just my own special little name for my beautiful talented smart independent and loving baby girl!!! There will never be another like her!!!

3 Musketeers...old and new!!!!

Several months back, Robbie, Abigail and I made the trip to Jonesboro for Labor Day weekend. We had a cook-out at Aunt Vickey's house and had a great time! Abigail loved the pool and playing with her new cousin Presley (Aimee and John's little girl) and hangin' out by the pool with cousin Landon (Amber and Don's son). The best mop in the world!

For Christmas this year, my mother-n-law gave me the EuroProX Shark Steamer. Alright wives and moms, I have to say that this is the best steam mop in the world!!! If you want super clean floors, this is the mop for you!!! I just thought that I had clean floors before!! I swept and mopped with lysol and thought that I was getting my floors clean. I was wrong! The first time that I used this mop I was disgusted with what I saw on the pad, now I use it almost everyday!! It is super easy to use and is very lightweight. I am a much happier person when my house is clean (arent we all?) and now I KNOW that my floors really are spotless!!!!! I would recommend this mop to anyone!!! Thank you so much mimi for getting this for me, I have already used it countless times and love it!!! GET ONE...IT'S AWESOME!!!!!

Louisiana weather

The south has a very unpredictable weather pattern, take that back...the south doesn't HAVE a weather pattern, it just has unpredictable weather!!! Sort of like when it snowed in March!!! Today the weather didn't let us down, it was very warm outside. But it did give Abigail and myself a chance to get outside and play in the water puddles!!! Abigail got to use her new rain boots which she LOVED (thank you Mimi!!!)!! She had the best time playing in the water, and got very dirty to boot!!!!! I was having camera trouble and didn't get to shoot as much as i wanted to, but here are a few pics!! Enjoy!!!

Christmas 2008!!!

I can't believe that it is Christmas already!! Time is going by way too fast. Abigail is growing more and more everyday, and never stops learning. Robbie and I were talking a few days ago and realized that Christmas is only a little over a week away, after Christmas, its New Years, then my birthday then Valentines Day then Easter then BOOM!!!! Abigail is 2 YEARS OLD!!! I'm not ready for her to be 2! Its all happening way too fast and my little baby girl is going to be my little terrible 2 year old! I'm sure it wont be that bad. Forgive me, I'm in a nostalgic mood. Brought on by the fact that I no longer have to rock her to sleep. Tonight all I did was put her in her crib (lights on) give her her blanket (goo) and her Binky (pacifier), tell her that her mama and daddy loved her and to have sweet dreams, turn off the lights and walk out!!! She didn't make a sound! I should be happy! This is what Ive been working for!! But I have rocked that precious baby to sleep every night of her life...except for tonight. Its bittersweet. But I'm done going on and on about that. I'm going to focus on my next challenge, NO BINKY!! We did it one night but that's all so far!! I have received requests for more pics of Abigail, so here you go Aunt Lavonda!!!

Sick, Sick, Sick. and update on little Robbie

I am VERY sick. Abigail and I both went to the doctor today. She just has a cold, I on the other hand have Pharyngitis. Not fun. I think I would feel tons better if someone would just tear my throat off. It hurts to swallow, eat, drink, talk, sit still BREATHE!!! Now im getting stopped up and a slight cough. My hip hurts too cause I got a rocephin shot. At least he GAVE me a shot though. This has been going on since Wednesday, and only getting worse. I'm sorry for complaining, I just dont feel worth a crap and need to get it out I guess. Abigail is feeling pretty good though, she just has a runny nose but I had to be sure she didnt have what I did. Update on Robbie's nephew: He is now at home, from what Robbie told me, he is doing good. Thank you all for your prayers. Promise my next post wont be so dramatic!!!

Catching Up...

Well, sorry folks for not keeping with my promise to blog everyday. If you only knew what has been happening around here, you would understand. Lets see if I can catch you up...

1. My cousin Matthew is getting married, I am the Matron of Honor, (enough said!!!) I have courageously taken on the responsibilities of helping the bride, my friend Jenny, plan the wedding. This has been going on for several months now, but is continually getting more stressful seeing as how the wedding is November 8th. (AAAAAHHHHHH, one week away!!!!!)

2. Abigail has had two, count 'em, TWO ear infections in the past 3 weeks. Which for us meant no sleep for 4 days, and she didnt eat a bite for 4 days. Her mouth was hurting as well, she was cutting two jaw teeth at the same time. (I know, it was horrible for all of us)

3. My grandmother turned 87 years old on the 21st.YYYYAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! Several of my aunts, my mom and I all planned an elaborate surprise party for her. My entire family was invited, and I have a huge family. It was like a family reunion. Here is a pic of me and Robbie from that day.

4. This Friday is Halloween, Abigail is Tinkerbell and I fully intended to dress up as Peter Pan and take her trick or treating, my best friend Amie is Ragedy Ann, and Robbie and Amie's husband Joey are gonna be huntin buddies. I havent been able to find a costume anywhere and my attempt to make one didnt work out so well. Needless to say I wont be dressing up, unless I put on my camo outfit and be a hunter like Robbie and Joey. I dont think Amie would like that very much though!!!

5. I have to work on Halloween and there is an 8:oo curfew. We have to trick or treat in 3 different towns. I havent the foggiest idea how we are going to accomplish this!!!

6. Saturday is the lingerie/bath shower that I am throwing for Jenny. AT MY HOUSE!!!! Ive lost my mind!! I spent all day today cleaning up and cleaning out and scrubbing things that I didnt even know were dirty!!!!

And to top all of this off, and I didnt even bother to bore you with everything, me and Robbie recieved some disturbing news last night. Im not going to go into any details but trust me, our family needs prayers for Robbies nephew. He is 6 years old and has suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his arm, back and stomach. Please Please Please pray for him to heal. Word is that he is in good spirits. Lets all pray for a speedy recovery. Now then, here are a few new pics of my beautiful little angel!!! Enjoy!!!

A Day Outside

Abigail has been sick for the past few days (ear infection, sore throat and sinus infection, yuck!) so we have been stuck inside. Today she wanted to go outside and play so I grabbed my camera and out we went!! Robbie's old cat Belle showed up (she comes and goes) and Abigail just loved her!! She pet her and said kitty kitty kitty and meowed when Belle meowed!!! It was too cute! Oh, before I forget, Abigail can say her name now!!! It comes out as Abigee and she can also say abby (but we're not encouraging that!!!!lol)

Eating by Herself

Well, Abigail has pretty much mastered the art of eating(or feeding, rather) herself! Yay, Abigail!!! It is the cutest thing, she holds a real spoon like a big girl and scoops the food up, makes a couple of airplane noises, and into the mouth it goes!!! Every now and then, she thinks that I am hungry too and gives me a bite!! Sometimes she wants to feed her puppies as well, but she only threw one spoonful onto the floor today, so we are steadily making progress!!! She is just growing up too fast!!!!

Weekend Fun!

Well, Amie and Joey have gone home after a great visit. I just love it when they come to town! So does lil miss Abigail! We always have such a blast, my dad normally sets up the shop with all of his music equipment and we go out there and sing along with c.d.'s and just act crazy in general. This afternoon while I was getting dressed to go to a birthday party, Amie grabbed my camera and started taking pics of Abigail, she put on her converse shoes and rolled her little pants legs up so you could see them. Both of them had a ball!They love each other so much, and I know it melted Amie's heart when Abigail said her name! Amie got some really great shots. For those of you who know Robbie well, you know that the face that Abigail is making in this picture came straight from him!!! She is such a goober!!

Ok, so my Bestest Friend EVER came over and we had just a LITTLE bit of fun!!! We had her husband take these pics of us. We were being completly retarded but we had a GREAT time!! She looks awesome in this pic but I just look like a dork!!
